Review: Cartoon Camera for Android

When browsing through the Android Market and seeing the text "Cartoon Camera" alongside a snazzy logo I installed the app instantly but Cartoon C wasn't as impressive as its fresh branding.One thing that I was pleased with was the lack of a menu screen - the app took me straight into camera mode which was definitely a good point. 

Along with other camera functions such as sepia, the cartoon style was OK but not as good as I maybe would have expected. The images appear grainy and look more like a computer-generated pencil drawing than a cartoon. 

However, to avoid the blurred pencil drawing that you might get, you can change the sensitivity which removes all the lines and creases from images and smoothens them out but the cartoon aspect still isn't really there - all that is really changed is the texture.

It does come with other features such as zoom, flash on and off, an ad free option, more apps button (takes you to Android Market) and the previously mentioned camera modes.
